Dr Breda Anthony is the EOPIC study project coordinator within the Division of Population Health Sciences at the University of Dundee. She graduated initially as a registered nurse, then a midwife in London, before doing an MSc in Health Service Management at the University of Aberdeen prior to being awarded her PhD in 2013. Dr Anthony is an experienced qualitative researcher and project manager and clinician. She is a member of the British Pain Society. She is also a reviewer for the Journal of Public Health and an external examiner for Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh as well as an OSCE examiner for the BSCCP/RCOG.
Her research interests range from population surveys, assessing and re-designing service provision including qualitative assessments of models of care. She has had over 25 years working as a clinician in the NHS as well as working on various research projects over the last ten years.
